MESOPOTAMIA. Edessa. Lucilla, Augusta, 164-182. Drachm (Silver, 19 mm, 2.25 g, 7 h), struck under under Ma' nu VIII Philoromaios (167-179), 167-169. ΛOYΚΙΛΛΑ CЄΒΑϹΤΗ Draped bust of Lucilla to right. Rev. ΒΑϹΙΛЄΥϹ ΜΑΝΝΟϹ ΦΙΛΟΡωΜΑΙϹ Demeter, veiled, seated left, holding grain ears in her right hand and scepter in her left. BMC 9. RPC IV.3 online 6489. Very rare and darkly toned. Somewhat porous, otherwise, very fine.
